BLACK FLAG OAP HALL VICTORIA 1982-84

Tim has way better stories and Steve...THANK YOU... but here's my nerd version............o.k. my scanner sux. I have the gig posters but now i can't find em. anyway Heres the NERD me giving you all the Black Flag info in the Victoria OAP era. Black Flag appeared on stage at the OAP in July 1st 1982 with the Subhumans and Saccarine Trust and the NEOS. It was pretty freakin rad,... the NeOs!!! i was 15 and a geek standing on the left side thinking the lead singer of Black Flag (whats his name?) is going to murder us. I remember him laying on the stage with the mic jammed in his mouth... the intro for" I've Heard It Before" went on for 15 minutes before the song opened up. HOLY SHIT! Robo was on drums and he was a machine... Greg Ginn is a tall flowing amazing guitar manipulator.i They returned again in April 29 1983 with the Meat Puppets, Nig Heist and opened up with Nomeansno.... another amazing show with another LA band Nig Heist coming on stage with with massive long hair and beeing really rude and making someone in the audience put thier head in the lead singers crotch and he humped it. Damb Nig Heist were gross and at sometime in thier set they took off thier wigs and they were all shaved bald or something like that. then Meat Puppets played and they were amazing. Black Flag played and they had Bill Stevenson of the Decendents on drums... I have a Bill Stevenson story but I will concentrate on these Black Flag OAP shows... although i really want to tell you the Bill story. anyway again Black Flag played a intense set with a very cool bass player... and like so many nerd punks like myself we became infatuated with Kira. In 1984 they played again with SWA (Chuck Dukowski in a suit with a black handprint on his face) and Tom Trocollis dog? I remember this beeing kinda near the end of the rad times but still amazing Black Flag. Then they were supposed to play Dec 30th 1985. This show was cancelled due to snow. I wish this show had happened because Saint Vitus was also on the bill..... if you don't know Saint Vitus you don't know the meaning of the word HEAVY. anyway thats my recollection of this matter. BUZZARD Victoria with stolen image from other BUZZARD

Buzzard is leading the Victoria music scene with HEAVY! I do need a live Buzzard fix. Sounds like the machine is firing on all cylinders and the carbs have just the right jets. The internal combustion leaves the engine out of the open headers and all on the street turn to look. The cruise takes you through the busy avenues of people moving and shaking. The highway turn off is in sight, the throttle opens up, the tires grip and heat up leaving smoke. Fuel consumption is full on and the only thing that stops you from continuing down the highway is the fuckin ferry terminal.
