Horde of Anachron live at logans apr 2006

Here's some history of ole vic for ya. I ain't no authority but I was there feeling the power! FEELING the power! A couple of metal heads branched out from the mudane music that was availiable in the early eighties and formed cutting edge metal bands like Armarous (jed Simon) and Tantrum (tolan McNiel) and my faves MISSION OF CHRIST (steve Mcbean). These bands where the start of something new in Victoria! It was a new power in metal. It RIPPED and my 40 year old neck is still sore from those days. HeadBANg you fuckers!! I'm glad i got to see those bands some twenty years ago. IT WAS PoWER!

I'm a punk at heart but still really enjoy seeing metal and sometimes go and check out some of the new metal in our city. I sometimes get lost in the speed and the grunting vocals and sometimes i don't really fell the power of this type of Metal..... so sorry Peruke and Tard, you didn't do it for me on that night.... but the dancefloor and others better than I seemed to like you.

Midshow the smoke started to rise and lights dimmed to RED. A flurry of drums and a grind of guitar riffs assaulted my head... at first I felt I should take cover because the initial volley of sound sent the dancefloor into a violent frenzy. The soldier at the front of this tank mixed his voice from grunts to wailing orders of a frontal attack! The dance floor was not going to win this war as another blast of smoke came from the stage and another fast and heavy double base drum fire was blasted into the audience. The guitar gunner was serving riffs at breathtaking close range that would all of a sudden level the front line into some serious headbanging. I watched a civilian clamber out of the floor as blood spilled from his head. The next song started and I felt no more restraint in my body as I forced my way through the flying bodies to see this tank from the front of the stage. Goosebumbs formed on my body as I looked the machine in the face. It was my duty to raise my fist and bang to the unshielded metal coming from the stage. A speaker was sliding all over the front as the audience fell into it and the band took thier toll. It was the POWER that I had felt some twenty years ago only it was new......... IT WAS HORDE OF ANACHRON!
