Black Mountain CD.

The back of the CD insert says thanks to members of the Black Mountain Army.

Whew, “Modern Music”? I have given this CD several listens and although there are a few moments of stillness the moments are broken by eeiry tribal vocals complimented with heavy driven riffs like “Don't Run Our Hearts Around”. Then you can find yourself strutting down a busy city street watching internal cumbustion engines puff smoke into your lungs during the song “Druganaut”. Traffic speeds up and you sit on the curb thinking about getting “No Satisfaction”. The sun sets and you walk by a dark alley as Steve sings "lord won't you let us free." The night club you walk by is playing “No Hits”. Amber sings “Heart of Snow” and brings us back to a quieter avenue where the trees are dark and the streetlights are dim. The apartment door opens and you take the long staircaise up to your room as the CD finishes with “Faulty Times”.

This music won't be for everyone but I found it left a spot inside my head. If you were to label it you would lean toward some heavy progressive rock. As Black Mountain toured they filled venues to the maximum and the Army grows. If you see this CD you might want to try it!
